By day I am a clinical psychologist, working exclusively with young and new adults at a mid-sized public university. By night and during academics breaks, I write YA/New Adult historical fiction and am an active member of the SCBWI. My focus is on creating fiction based on detailed research of historical events with strong female protagonists at their center. I have undergraduate degrees in history and women's studies and enjoy using aspects of both of these interests in my writing. I like to show that history is fascinating and that it is made up of the ordinary people who make extraordinary decisions. Through my work I hope that readers will come to love history and its characters as much as I do.
