Elliot Rose (they/she/he) began writing novels while working in academia, producing their first fantasy novel in a dedicated effort to procrastinate a conference paper deadline. After presenting various papers on the topics of feminism in opera, aesthetic theory in Broadway, and bleak depression in Mahler’s symphonies, Elliot took a hard left-turn into writing fantasy fiction about gods, demons, and spiteful villains who love the protagonists more than they let on.
