Having lived in twelve different states before settling with her partner in the Hudson Valley of New York, Madeline White is a queer farmer, artist, and author who mostly uses her anthropology degree to ask “what if things didn’t have to be this way?”

Her stories span genres (with shorts published in mediums ranging from cookbooks to an injured rodeo athlete charity anthology), but they’re united by a delight for subverting expectations and challenging traditional perspectives, plus of course a soft spot for morally grey gays. Madeline gravitates towards darker fiction (as a break from her cottagecore reality) and believes that the line between dystopia and hopepunk grows thinner the more you want to watch the world burn.

When she’s not writing, she can be found riding her horse, traveling the country in her converted CSI box truck, or cursing the deer who continuously eat her garden.
