​While Rachel Reddick’s day job is as a data scientist, she is a Trekkie with a physics PhD.  As such, she enjoys both worldbuilding and optimistic tales, which is reflected in her science fiction and fantasy writing.

She lives in Minnesota with her husband, daughter, a large book collection and a small starship collection.

Since her surname suffers from the Scunthorpe problem, she also writes under RZ Nicolet.
