Brittany Carter
|
Co-founder/Literary Agent
Brittany Booker Carter is a Literary Agent and co-founder of The Booker Albert Literary Agency. She has worked with Marisa Corvisiero during her time at the Lori Perkins agency and the Corvisiero Literary Agency. She has a B.A. in English and a minor in journalism from The University of Arkansas at Monticello. She is looking for novels that keep her up at night and transport her into the pages. In YA and NA she is looking for well-written contemporary and paranormal romances. In NA she is looking for LOTS of sexual tension, and a sexy demanding hero never hurt anybody! As for adult works, she's looking for witty contemporary, and slow burning friends to lovers romances. She's always on the hunt for rich characters and unique plots. She is a big sucker for happy endings. (She doesn't represent books without a HEA, they make her sad. She believes every person deserves a Happily-Ever-After. Maybe it's just the Disney Princess inside?) She also has a passion for books set in the south. Bring on those big ole' cowboys, ladies. I'll take any man with a slow, southern drawl! She has working knowledge of Japanese and Spanish. Brittany is not looking for memoirs or MG novels at the time. @bookers_32 bookersbookthoughts.blogspot.com |

***OPEN TO QUERIES*** |
Junior Literary Agent
After graduating with a B.A. in Professional Writing, Rebecca completed internships with Christian Indie Publishing Association and ArtHouse Literary Agency before moving to Booker Albert Literary Agency. From a young age, she has been fascinated with epic worlds like LOTR and The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. Books with romantic elements like Ella Enchanted, The Goose Girl, and The Cruel Prince all have places in her top ten. She also adores historical fiction like The Wednesday Wars and iconic masterpieces like Monica Hesse's They Went Left, but her all-time favorite novel has to be the grounded fantasy The Scorpio Races. Her favorite troupes are houses-with-personality (think House of Leaves or The Haunting of Hill House), zombie apocalypses like in the book World War Z, and underwater worlds. Regardless of genre, Rebecca is looking for stories that have good pacing, grounded worlds, and believable characters. She is interested in fantasy of all kinds and anything that has a good hook. She would love to see more scary YA and MG historical fiction. You can find her on Instagram @beccalawrence_ |
