Submission Guidelines
The Booker Albert Literary Agency accepts electronic queries only. We advise each author to read the agent profiles carefully before submitting. Please see our agent profiles under the Agents tab.
Please e-mail your query letter with the first ten pages of your complete manuscript pasted into the email, along with a 1-2 page synopsis. All sample pages (including requests for partials and fulls) must be properly formatted into 1 inch margins, double-spaced lines, Times New Roman/size 12/black font. If an agent requests a partial or full of your manuscript, please attach the material as a Word document to the email.
Please include genre and word count.
Please note we do NOT represent screenplays, short story collections or poetry.
Do NOT:
-Send the entire manuscript without an agent requesting it.
-Send a 'Dear Agent' email.
-Send to multiple agents/agencies in the same email.
-Send your materials as an attachment.
While we appreciate the effort and time that goes into writing your material, due to the amount of queries we receive, we can only reply to the submissions we are interested in. Please give us up to six-eight weeks to respond.
